We get funding from Bath and North East Somerset Council and the Primary Care Trust (now called the Health and Wellbeing Partnership) to work with them to improve services for disabled people.
We support people to become peer and self advocates and to speak up about issues which affect their lives.
We have meetings and guest speakers on things like housing, employment, safer communities, health and hate crime.
We feed back to the Learning Disability Partnership Board and let them know what we think about important issues.
We work with the Health and Wellbeing Partnership to make sure that people with a disability get a good health service.
Our members will be speaking to Doctors and Hospitals to help them make things easier for people with learning difficulties.
We will be working to help people with learning difficulties get regular health checks and speak with confidence to doctors.

We were given some money from the Department of Health for User Led Organisations.
We worked closely with the Disability Equality Forum (DEF) and the Race Equality Council (REC) to make sure every group was listened to.
At the end of the project, all the information we produced was put onto the website for the National Centre for Independent Living (NCIL)
We have become well known nationally and have been asked to run workshops about involving people with learning difficulties.
We also got funding to set up a new equalities group for all disabled people called Equality B&NES – a voice for disabled people.
We now link up much more with other voluntary organisations in Bath and North East Somerset.
